Who should pick which

Pick Inro if

  • Your growth comes from content, and you want commenters and story repliers handled by an AI agent.
  • You want official-API automation priced by the number of people you talk to.
  • You bill in euros and a free plan for 100 contacts a month covers you.

Pick InstaOutreach if

  • You need meetings with people who have never seen your content.
  • You want a price per account that does not rise when a post goes viral.
  • You run several accounts for an agency or a setter team.

They do not compete for the same conversations: Inro answers people who engage, InstaOutreach starts threads with people who would not.

The real limits on both sides

Inro

  • No cold DMs; Inro states there is no compliant way to do it.
  • Standard messaging only in the 24-hour window after the person writes.
  • Free plan: 100 active contacts, 3 automations and 3 campaigns a month.
  • Auto-DM to new followers is not publicly available.

InstaOutreach

  • Automating Instagram outside the official API can conflict with Instagram's Terms of Use. Your own browser, your own IP and human pace lower the risk of restrictions; nothing removes it.
  • It only works while your browser or the Mac app is open. Close it and the account pauses.
  • Instagram only. No WhatsApp, Messenger or TikTok.
  • No comment-to-DM auto-replies on your own posts. That is an inbound job for official-API tools.
  • Each browser profile drives one Instagram account at a time; several accounts need several Chrome profiles or the Mac app.
  • It cannot pull the list of accounts someone follows as a lead source.

How to add cold outreach next to Inro

  1. Leave your Inro automations running on the same account.
  2. Start the InstaOutreach trial and install the extension or the Mac app where the account is logged in.
  3. Pick a lead source: hashtags, a competitor's followers, post likers or commenters, or a CSV.
  4. Warm up a new account first if you like (7 or 14 days recommended).
  5. Set the opener, follow-ups and a daily limit, then press Start.

Questions people ask

Can Inro send cold DMs to people who do not follow me?

No. Inro runs on Meta's official API and starts flows only from inbound DMs, story replies, comment private replies, mentions and click-to-message ads. Inro says there is no compliant way to cold-DM someone who never engaged.

How much does Inro cost compared to InstaOutreach?

Inro is free for 100 active contacts a month, then Pro starts at 12.99 euros for up to 500 contacts and rises with contacts. InstaOutreach is $29 a month for the first Instagram account and $14.50 for each extra, with no contact limit in the price.

Is Inro safer than a cold DM tool?

On paper, yes: official-API tools carry no Terms of Use risk from automation. A cold DM tool works outside the API, so restrictions are always possible. InstaOutreach lowers the risk by running in your own browser, on your own IP, at human pace, with daily limits.
